Meizu V8 and V8 Pro officially launched

Meizu has announced V8 and V8 Pro smartphones today, both with 5.7-inch HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio displays. Both these run Android Oreo. The V8 Pro is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P22 12nm SoC and have 12-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera for portrait shots, while the V8 is powered by a quad-core Quad-Core MediaTek MT6739 SoC and 13-megapixel single rear camera. Both these have a fingerprint sensor on the back and have a metal design.

Both the V8 Pro and V8 feature a 5.7-inch HD+ screen with a resolution of 1440 × 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The front panel promises a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and 450 nits brightness. While the V8 uses a 3,200mAh battery, the V8 Pro is fuelled by a smaller 3,100mAh battery. Both devices run on Android 8.1 Oreo with Meizu’s Flyme OS.

The Meizu V8 Pro is made of metal and sports a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset (octa A53 CPU) with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. the front camera is a 5MP f1/9 shooter with face unlock. In terms of optics,Its rear camera has a dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor, both with an f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera setup also has a two-colour dual-LED flash module. On the front, it features a 5-megapixel camera with an f/1.9 aperture

The Meizu V8 has a polycarbonate body and a MediaTek MT6739 chipset (quad A53 CPU) with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage. Its rear camera has a 13MP sensor and f/2.2 lens, the selfie cam is the same 5MP f/1.9 module (same face unlock functionality too). Or you could use the fingerprint reader that's on the back of both phones. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ GLONASS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and what appears to be a Micro-USB port. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, a proximity sensor, and a software gyroscope. It comes with a 3,200mAh battery. It measures 148x73x8.4mm and weighs 145 grams.
